Alabama Beaches is served by two airports. Airline service is available through the Fort Walton Beach airport, which is actually located on nearby Eglin Air force Base, about an hour and a half drive from Alabama Beaches. This facility is also known as the Okaloosa County Air Terminal and the airport identifier is VPS. For security purposes, private and corporate aircraft are prohibited from landing at this airport.
